Over the past 18 months I redid *EVERY* DB file I have to be defined via
DDL instead of DDS. The biggest issue I had was 3 different
multi-member files. Order header/order detail were 2 of the 3, and they
were multi-member for similar reasons as yours, to keep people from
stepping on each other.
I saved the order header/order detail till last and analyzed for one
he** of a long time. What I ended up doing was adding a 10 char field
named MEMBER to each file. It has worked out well for me.
