Subject: Re: Copying PTF CD's to IFS
I love image catalogs and that's what I normally do. I was just trying
to save myself the time in the computer room or hoofing it back & forth
from my office to swap CD's.
Roger - is there a reason you don't just use the ADDIMGCLGE command, orvhamberg@xxxxxxxxxxx 06/20/2008 10:32:53 PM >>>
the option in WRKIMGCLGE? You can specify the CD drive as the source,
and it will be copied to the image catalog IFS location.
But I'm sure I am missing something important!

You create a ISO image of the CD on the PC - then upload that file to
the IFS via you favorite method. Its best to put it in the image
catalog folder. Then use the addimgclge comand to add the file to a
catalog.

Perhaps just brain dead late on a Friday but........
I recall (and I think I've done this before but the steps escape me)
tothat you could copy the CD's from a PC to the IFS and then use that
copyADDIMGCLGE. I've searched the IBM site but can't find the steps to
the CD to the IFS. Lots of hits on downloading BIN files but nothing
aabout transferring media.
It'll save me many trips back and forth to the computer room. I have
mailing listcume and many groups.
Can someone point me to the appropriate link? Thanks.
