The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
The question has already been answered... but just to add some
commentary.
CALL QMHSNDPM /* can be used to "post" a msg to the joblog */
Examples exist in the archives for command line invocations of that
API, which the CALL QCMDEXC is effectively providing, and why SNDPGMMSG
is not allowed there; i.e. the command usage must be compiled in a [or
used from a REXX] program, as described by DSPCMD SNDPGMMSG "Where
allowed to run" details, and as diagnosed by the noted message CPD0031.
But those examples should also allude to _better_ approaches like just
considering using the generic COBOL program or similarly...
CALL PgmA /* where PmgA does the SNDPGMMSG or CALL QMHSNDPM */
LOGMSG PARMX() /* where LOGMSG is a command with CPP of PgmA or ? */
