Our BP, a former CE, installed our 3570 in our Dell rack but we did have to leave the door off. We ended up never using the 3570 much after that and I took it out and put it in storage and put the door on the rack.

Subject: 3570 tape drive in a rack

We are trying to fit a 3570 tape drive in a standard "Dell" rack, which is diff size than an IBM rack. From prev post someone said would fit if remove outer cover.
Did that, but front panel too large to close door of rack. This is a co-location site
and their rules require doors closed & locked.
Any known alternatives? Has anyone ever run this tape drive in a vertical position - we have enough room..
