Sounds like one of these.

If so, each of the product options has a manual.

According to the network guy - under installed personalities there are 2
things. IOF 4(-): SCS (active) & IOF 15(-): FormPort MHP-I(active).
There is also an embedded HP JetDirect J7949E.

I started to some research this morning and I think I need to revisit
with the network guy. From what I found this morning the FormPort MHP-I
is an internal chip that will do form overlays. I can not find anything
about connectivity to our iSeries because of this thing. I think our
network guy might have been misled or misunderstood when he order this
printer.

We just purchased a new printer with a "400 emulator dim"

Can you give us any part numbers to better describe this?

Is this installed in the printer? If so, print a configuration report
and see if it shows anything under 'emulation' or 'personality' or
'identity'
modes.

New HP4350n

All,
We just purchased a new printer with a "400 emulator dim" - I was
told that this printer will connect to the iSeries without the "standard
I/O emulation card" Can someone point me in the right direction for
instructions/documentation on how the heck to hook this thing up. I'm
from old school where it was hard wired some way or another to the
(then) AS/400.

Any kind of direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you
