Have a 'friend' somewhere overhere (EU) testing R6M1.

Asked him your question with WRKDBF and V5R4 - seems everything
is OK - except..... a minor !!!.

Indeed we have been using it for years and today. It still runs under our
current production release of V5R4.

The lack of observability info prevents it from being used on a V6R1M0
system.

WRKDBF FILENAME(FILE)
Program or module not convertible.
Error found on WRKDBF command.

The IBM work around for our decimal data error and garbage clean up of
records is to use iSeries Navigator where you can access the record via:
databases / schemes / library / file
Even if it contains invalid data one can blank the invalid positions.

It would appear that at least some of the functions in WRKDBF that
prevent it from converting to V6R1 should also cause problems in V5R4
- anyone had any experience with using it on that release?

Apart from functions like resuscitating deleted records, what are the
other features that are missing from the alternatives such as DFU and
Navigator?
