Alan mentioned RMVM. Could that be integrated into the document
conversion process rather than doing them all at once? Something like
add member - copy doc to member - covert member to new format & copy to
target - remove member or SBMJOB to remove the member - repeat for next
doc.

And if the file is being journaled, remove journaling.

Another thought is to batch-copy from the juke to IFS directories & let
the conversion read that.
