I agree with Trevor that one should use System i to talk about the new
box, I'm just not as evangelical about it. But the historical nature of
my post has more to do with the hardware prices of the iSeries; I
consider the System i to be the low-cost alternative and as hardware
commoditization continues there really won't be a separate box that's
specifically an i5/OS machine. In fact, one day you'll just get an
i5/OS blade, or even just a virtual i5/OS machine... <smile>
