Fair enough, but WDSC is in the subject line, not ADTS. :-) There
isn't much to say about the scheme, really. Moving to V6 will require a
significant consideration in terms of initial cost to buy enough seats
and the increase in SWMA. Talking about it won't do anything right?
IBM / Rational have set the prices, so that's that.
As a company with mostly OPM and a little ILE, I can tell you that the
boss' first question is going to be 'How hard is it going to be to
convert the ILE back to OPM?' I don't think this is what Rational had
in mind! Of course I'll explain (again) that we can convert the OPM
programs one by one as we need to touch them, and that converting is as
easy as an option in PDM, so I expect I'll be able to keep my ILE
service programs.
Not at all sure about being able to use RDi though. Without an
entitlement, the initial cost may be a hindrance.
