Why would folks have to go into any remote site? Just to test that the

Just to clarify what I mean by a "remote site" ... I'm not talking
about the site where the disaster recovery system is. I'm talking
about the distribution centers scattered around the country whose
applications run on the i5 at the corporate data center (or the i5 at
the disaster recovery center when switched).

Before the switch, each distribution center has to make sure that all
of its users are off of the source system and applications shut down,
and verify that key file hash totals match on the source and target
systems. After the switch, each distribution center has to
reconfigure anything which needs it (Perle controllers, WCS servers,
etc.), test that devices are working, verify that the applications are
accessible, etc. Some of it could be done from home via the VPN but
other parts need someone physically present.
