The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
If you don't have to use V4R5, then it would be really easy to create a web
service on another platform such as a Windows server for example.
Of course anytime I ever say "easy" on anything, 10 people make a point of
responding as to why it's not really easy or why that won't work so there
you go. Human nature I guess.
I'm sure you'll get additional feedback on how to do this.

Actually, we're not. Because we're not entirely sure whether or not
we'll be hosting the web service on the AS/400 that's doing the work. We
could host it elsewhere, and simply access the 400 through a proprietary
protocol on a socket connection. We've done similar things before;
that's how many of our products work, since they all predate most of the
standard protocols.
