Hi Guy

Are your DDM files defined to use an SNA connection ?

If you define them to run natively over TCP you may get a different result.
You can use the ADDSVRAUTE command to map the user on the client side to a
user on the server side rather than having it run as the original user
profile.

You can only map on a one-to-one basis - by this I mean you can't map to a
different user for different DDM files on the target machine. You can map
multiple users on the client machine to the same user on the target so you
don't have to set up a user profile on the target for every users on the
source which eases the maintenance burden and makes this more predictable.

Don't know if this is your issue or now, or even if it will help but it
might provide another option to have your programs run under the right user.

Evan Harris

Subject: triggers and DDM files

We have a file on our SALES box that has a trigger on it. We have a new
project where MFG needs access to that file so DDM files were set up. When
a MFG user tries to access the DDM file the trigger fails because the user
is not set up on the SALES box. Is there a way to get the trigger to run
without setting up 300 MFG users on the SALES box?

Guy
