I often test this by ensuring that my library list contains only what is
in QSYSLIBL and QUSRLIBL and use UPDDTA on the file. Frankly, I think all
trigger programs should be set up that way. Sure, you can assume your
nifty trigger is only used within a batch or interactive job. Then the
first time someone imbeds updates to the file into a web or client/server
application...
Then depending on your trigger you can assume other stuff, like if I CAN'T
open the secondary files then assume that I am running this in a web or
client server application, thus I wouldn't do a SNDPGMMSG or some such
thing to display the message I had intended. But, you know what they say
about "assume".
