Sorry Vern (and anybody else that this might have affectted),
We had a virus on one of our Engineering PCs about 2 months ago, and it
was pounding out spam emails. We had it cleaned up real quick, but we got
blacklisted at some sites (including Yahoo, boy is that tough to get back
on).
My network/pc guy says if you put us on your "whitelist" (whatever that
is), the email should come through ok then.
Again, sorry. And, thank you for letting me know!!
Thanx,
Nick

Re: LTO1 Tape Drive and tapes

I don't know what you have in your emails, but Comcast is putting them
into the Screened Mail folder almost all the time here.

Good morning everyone,
We will be getting an IBM 3581 LTO1 tape drive next week.
We have a quote of $31.70 per tape (packs of 20) from IBM (100GB ULTRIUM
TAPE 20-PAK).
For the cleaning tape we have ULTRIUM CLEANING CARTR. 5- Pak at $65.00
each, quoted.
I need 40 tapes, 4 sets of 7 (daily backups) and then 1 for each month,
plus a couple of spares.list
Does anyone have any suggestions on the 'brand' of tape that will work
best? Or, doesn't it matter?
Also, is this tape drive much faster than our Magstar 3570?
Thanx for the help,
Nick
