I think IBM has some ruling on when a box can be upgraded based upon
how much or how many of the parts can move from one box up to the next box.
That is what I was once told by an IBMer.

I think most vendors key on a couple of different factors - serial number
is only one. So, when I upgrade from a 570 to a MMA shortly, that should
be a hoot.
