We have stuck with the trucking company recommended by IBM when we have
machines delivered and sent back at End of Lease. After disregarding all
of the detailed information we emphasize to them about site requirements,
they usually end up calling some local yokels from a temp agency to
manhandle the machine around. Talk about a zoo (stuck on staircases,
arguments between truck driver and movers, etc.). I'm going to start
bringing a CD with circus music on it for future occurances...
Luckily, our safety director got involve the last time and coordinated with
a rigging company to get the machine moved with a boom lift... MUCH better.
