RE: Saving History Log Files

Steve, You said, "We . . .set the QHSTLOGSIZ system value to *DAILY".
What do you mean by *DAILY? On my model 520 the system value QHSTLOGSIZ
allows a numeric setting, from 1 to 65535 (number of records for each
version of the history log), and does not allow *DAILY.


We recently went to all machines and set the QHSTLOGSIZ system value to
*DAILY in order to reduce the number of log files on the less active
systems,
which of course didn't matter on the big honkers hit that 10,000,000
records every 60 - 90 minutes.
