Note also that you can mix files with aliases and files without, e.g.:
select a.*
from File1 a
join File2
on a.key1=key2

I never use "as" since it is not needed. Just specify the as name immed
after the table name.
the as name works well as a single character that tells the reader the
ordinal of each table in the query. a for the first table, b for the 2nd,
etc.
on your query, I would code it as:
select a.field1, b.field2, b.field3
from File1 a
join File2 b
on a.key1 = b.key2
