Re: Reason not to go to V6R1

A year or two ago, when "support" for WRKDBF was dropped I started looking
at other products to do the same. Frankly I thought the product from the
Robot people lacked many of the features of WRKDBF and was basically
generic beer at champagne prices.

A couple of developers are bemoaning the loss of WRKDBF. They've all been
through our basic problem solving course (some, many times). I threw out
the ball that if anyone of them wanted to fill out a problems solving form
(actually it's online here) where you figure out:
- what problem you are trying to solve
- what is this problem costing you
- what alternatives are there to resolve this problem
- Pros/Cons of each
- which one do you recommend
Then they are free to do so. No one has taken up the gauntlet. And, if
it isn't even worth their time to work on the problem I am sure not going
to ask my company to spend money to help resolve it.
