Override scope other than activation group (like JOB)?

I tried adding the SHARE(*YES) and they still show up as 3 spool files.

Re: looking for recommendations on report merge product...

As Rob noted, this only works for the same job. I believe you have to
add SHARE(*YES) to the PRTF override. And, all the PRTF's have to have
the same attributes (width, etc).

This won't work for spool files generated by multiple jobs. That was
part of your original requirement. Sounds like you want to do some
consolidation after the fact.

Rob,

Let me make sure I understand your comment below. If we override the
*PRTF
for all the reports produced in the job to specify SCHEDULE(*JOBEND)
then
that alone will cause all the spool files produced by that job to merge
to a
single spool file?

Michael,

If the reports are produced by the same job stream, and can be
overridden
to the same spool file, there is a way on that override to change this

OVRPRTF
Spooled output schedule . . . . SCHEDULE

to *JOBEND. Now, in that same job add a first program and a last
program
to add the header and footer, and it should all look like one spool
file.

looking for recommendations on report merge product...

List,

I am looking for recommendations on a product that can do the
following:

1) Merge multiple spool files (not necessarily generated by the same
job)
into a single spool file while preserving all the carriage control
properties for each individual report
2) Optionally provide a way to specify the order the individual
reports
appear in the resulting merged report
3) Provide a header page with customizable text (would like this but
not a

show-stopper)
3) Provide a trailer page with customizable text (would like this but
not
a
show-stopper)

Please note that we have already looked at the AS/400 Report Splitter
from

RJS. It is quite good. I just want to know if there are other similar
products available that we should consider before making a decision.
