Thanks Michael. That worked perfectly for me. There was a log file still connected to each of those jobs that when I delete them it removed the jobs from the list. Thanks again.

Subject: Re: Remove Batch job OUTQ

WRKJOB UPDNIN...select the right job...option 4 for spooled
files...delete the spooled files. However, the job that has the OUTQ
state just has spooled files out there...it shouldn't be causing a
problem.

Hi All: I have a batch job that starts every morning and runs till a specified time. Last night the job went to a status of HLD and thus did not end. A new batch job with the same JOBD was started again this morning. The problem is that I still have the old job on the system with an OUTQ that I cannot get rid of. Below is a listing that shows all the duplicate jobs.

Entered
Option Job User Number Type -----Status----- System
UPDNIN QPGMR 588663 BATCH ACTIVE 20/12/07
UPDNIN QPGMR 587223 BATCH OUTQ 20/12/07
UPDNIN QPGMR 568022 BATCH OUTQ 19/12/07

I need to remove the bottom two jobs so that the active job will run properly. I've done this before but I'm running low on memory and can't recall how I did this. Can anyone help. I've tried different delete's, clear's and end's but I don't want to get rid of some object that I'll have to replace for the program to run normal again. TIA.
