I've not used the API, but according to the documentation "Current
partition identifier is the unique identifier of the current partition
on the physical machine. This field is materialized as a binary value."
I would read that last sentence to imply that partition 10 was a
_binary_ representation of 10, so I'd expect to see 0x0A in the field.
