AW: SQL Exception join

Hi,

If you want to simulate an exception join with left outer join, you have to
add a where condition:
select *
from table1 left outer join table 2 on table1.key = table2.key
Where Table2.Key is NULL

exception join is unique to DB2 (in think only in DB2/400..)

the standard equivalent is using left outer join

select * from table1 left outer join table 2 on table1.key = table2.key

I the exception join unique to DB2 UDB? If so, how would you do the
following simple query on other platforms? Just curious.

Select all in table 1 without a match in table 2
