The simple answer is, "Query the catalogs." A more detailed answer
would have comments about using the ANS & ISO catalog VIEWs like
SYSCOLUMNS et al, from the libraries QSYS2 and SYSIBM.
The OP has a history of arguing that DB2 for i5/OS is not a /real/
database. I was unnecessarily curt, given the many past unwarranted
vitriolic comments about the DB2 for i5/OS. So having only alluded to
the ability in /real/ databases, to effect the same type of comparison,
that same action should be investigated first for viability. No reason
to leave the SQL to obtain the answer; since having to, would only give
more ammunition for disparaging the DB2 for i5/OS, because a task
could [only] be accomplished by some i5/OS feature invocation.
