I have 2 HP printers that print reports portrait instead of landscape - HP4300 and HP4350. Each is configured to emulate a 3812. Other printers (including some HPs) use this same configuration and don't have a problem. In fact, I copied a device description that worked when I created these printers. I can't find anything on the printer itself that would cause this. I've asked our network guys to check the print queue and they find nothing. Any clue where I might start?
