Ditto on the RJS product(s).

One of my clients does billing for telephone companies, utility companies,
and for municipalities.

The telephone company bills get rendered into pdf format and the end users
can see their bills online. The municipalities, in addition to other things,
use the product to allow police officers to scan the tickets written during
each shift into my client's System i. All of this is done over the internet.
The tickets themselves never leave the police station. If the municipality
doesn't receive a check from the offender after the allotted time, they turn
over the collections calls to my client.

Subject: suggestions for iSeries replacement of DocStar imaging software?

List,

We are looking at replacing a software package named DocStar with an iSeries

replacement. The software allows for scanning of documents into a "database"

for archival and later retrieval. It allows you to supply multiple keywords
for each document so that searches for related documents are quick and easy
for later lookup with optional reprint. This is a WinDoze-based server
product that also has a client software that is installed on each PC
workstation along with an attached scanner for each user.

Can any of you suggest a comparable iSeries product (or iSeries-friendly
product) that we could consider as a replacement for DocStar?

Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated! TIA.
