I'm in to help develop an open source SCM product. Let me know what I
can do. Who's taking this ball and running with it? I don't know
enough about SCM to be a leader, but I'm pretty good at doing what I'm
told...just ask my wife. :)

No problem if you need a place to "house" it. I could easily make it
part of the opensource4systemi.com site. If course Sourceforge would be
a likely place to put an open source project that was a community
effort. But perhaps it would be an advantage to have my company sponsor
the the site and infrastructure our our servers/System i's (having a 270
and a 520 ).

I'm in.

Sounds like an opportunity for a new SCM vendor to enter the scene...
Or, perhaps this could be a community project and offered as open
source (courtesy of midrange.com)....

Sadly, I'm afraid I can't do that. There is a small mater of conflict
of interest.

That's not to stop someone else from sponsoring it though.
