Will you elaborate on the part about persistent sessions? Are you saying
that EGL supplies the plumbing necessary to maintain the session state
with
an RPG back-end program such that the called RPG program can remain active
for the entire session?

Yes, that's the plan. It used to work that way in version 6 as long as the
calls were made on the same page, but that it got broken in version 7
because nobody thought to check for it. It's scheduled to be fixed in the
next release I've asked that they expand the scope to be persistent across
an entire session - and you can be sure I'll be testing it <smile>.
