This is great information (thanks, Brian!). However, be careful because as
of version 7.1, Rational Business Developer (RBD) will be a standalone
product, and the pricing for that offering has yet to be determined.
I think the number one thing IBM can do is to figure out the pricing of the
product right away, and $1500 a seat on top of a $10,000 compiler is just
too much. I touched on that subject (along with some really cool
information about V6R1 and beyond, including the ability to access MS SQL
Server from DB2) in yesterday's column:
