All the cell phones I've had were configurable for the date/time settings.
My Treo actually can choose between local settings(manually set),
Date/Time from the carries, or Date/Time/Timezone from the carrier.

Cell phones get their date/time from the network. Turn the phone off/on
or make a call and they should update.
