Just for the sake of completeness: Models 250 and 270 also shipped with
internal modems by default.

IIRC, IBM switched to using internal modem cards back around the time
the
800 series of machines came out. I'm not sure what the modem cable
feature
code stands for. Maybe it's just the cord to plug the internal modem
into
the phone jack.

I am reviewing the proposed configuration for a new 525 and have this
question:

There is a feature code 1025 Modem cable - no charge listed.
What is that for? There must be a reason.

Also what is *INTMODEM on a create line description command?
Do the new models have a built in modem possibly for ECS use?

<Why don't I ask the business partner? Because I may not satisfied
with them and am checking out every detail myself.>
<Corporate says I have to use these guys>

Thanks,
Greg
