Thanks .. I knew that ... Just a very stressful day (read ... No time to think) This file should have gone to the IFS. It worked fine 4 months ago. Complicated by the fact that for this test he named it xxxxxx.xxxx ... More than 10 characters so WRKOBJ couldn't find it. By finding the current directory in the profile, I was able to find it with the truncated name. Now to get it back to the IFS so I can use it in my program. Sigh ...

Thanks again!
Mary

Start by doing a WRKOBJ *ALL/filename

What is HRUSER's default library? Chances are, there is nothing specified in
the user profile, and the file is sitting in QGPL

One of our network guys FTP'd a file to me this morning. He said he put it
in "the default folder for HRUSER". There isn't a default folder for HRUSER
as far as I know. We did not set one up under "home". How do I find this
file? How do I tell this Unix guy where to put the file? (No smart remarks
please!)

Thanks!
Mary
