The PTF attribute of Type=Delayed, indicates that the PTF can not be
applied using a APYPTF DELAYED(*NO), such that the PTF application can
occur only on an IPL. That attribute is set upon creation of the PTF,
and as such, that value does not change; that value does not indicate
anything about the status of the PTF.
Since the DSPPTF 5722999 MF41210 shows Permanently applied status,
then that is all that needs to happen.
I am not sure I understand the double reference to MF41210; i.e. to
both a "PSP for cumulative C7226540" and "when viewing the PTF groups
and special handling". I know of the former, but not the latter. I
suppose the 'pre-apply permanently' is an effective restatement of the
instructions for applying C7226540, the heading 'PTF Pre-Installation
Instructions'. Regardless, in the long ago past, the instructions would
have suggested to do a DSPPTF to verify that the PTF is permanently
applied, and if not, then what to do to make that happen. However now
the cumulative installation will perform that action automatically, so
the instructions need not be so verbose; yet for the same reason, any
mention could almost be removed, except left as a reminder to those who
might otherwise possibly omit that PTF.
