Re: DB2 Web Query
I think you are referring to the optional extra "Active Reports". For us
$
were:
Description Quantity Cost Education
P20 DB2 Web Query - base product - includes 6 named users
OLAP Module 1 $2,400.00 $2,280.00
Active Reports 1 $2,400.00 $2,280.00
Developers Workbench 2 $1,990.00 $1,890.50
Grand Total $6,790.00 $6,450.50

Yeah, I've heard that you can wrap up (I forget the phrase, let me call
a mini website) and email it to your users. And they can still changethe
sorts on the columns, etc. This is not supposed to count against thethat
users. I think you have to buy the more robust part from IBI to get
though.of
Don't get me wrong, I love tools like WDSC and the genre. However it
always strikes me as odd that GUI tools are probably developed by other
GUI tools and if they are so darn productive to use then why does the
product produced by same cost so much?

Re: DB2 Web Query
I agree with Rob. Right now the pricing model for this product is out
whack. On our 520 we'll only get 2 user licenses, so we will get thecover
product and look it over, but I'm not going to roll it out to my users
unless there is a change in the user licensing.
Thank you,

The 10 person limitation without the SPENDMONEY command won't even

our systems department. And that's on a 570 with TB's of disk space,
multiple lpars, etc. QU1 didn't have a per user pricing.

Re: DB2 Web Query
Waiting to hear how this goes.
To several customers, this is the best news from Rochester in a while.
Any word on pgmr and end user training?

CD's showed up late yesterday afternoon, haven't had a chance
to even look at yet, downloading Redbook (slowly) now for
Install instructions (no documentation with the order just
the 2 CD's for 5733QU2) Hoping the OLAP, Active Reports and
Developer Workbench on them too.
Anybody tried an install yet?
