Step 2 is really two steps. The first part of step 2 is upgrading your
HMC. The second part is upgrading your FSP. No, just because you
upgraded your HMC does not mean that your FSP is automatically upgraded.
You do that manually. Unlike when your firmware was managed by some lpar.

Make sure you follow the directions carefully. Especially doing both
steps of
- Saving the upgrade data.
- Back up HMC data.
Saving the upgrade data to the HMC hard drive only takes a few moments.
Doing the Back up of HMC data to DVD I normally fire up before lunch.
