I did Piranha via VPN - no modem. From IBM direct to the HMC. I've seen
them use this in the lab to ?proxy? through it or something to get several
QINTER sessions.

IBM internal network<<--->>HMC<<-2nd network port>>Private network in a
private room in IBM lab
to get from various desktops to the 5xx box I was working on.

A couple of times we've had IBM Support connect remotely to our systems
and use Piranha to diagnose problems. It was over a dial-up modem and we
had to enable the connection via control panel functions. There was no
other way to do it at that time (a couple years ago, give or take).

Chuck - I was going to suggest Piranha too - but I thought that was
exclusively and in-the-lab tool - only at IBM - unless you guys have a
way of implementing it remotely - heh!
