Jerry

Here's what I just did in V5R4 on a 570 - on an LPAR we get to use as a virtual loaner through being a partner - very cool program for partners!

I ordered separately the latest cume, as well as group PTFs for HTTP, Java, TCP/IP, and Print - maybe another. I downloaded the images directly to the IFS on that machine. Then added entries for all of them. Then, in the WRKIMGCLGE screen, took F7 to validate - and chose *PTF type and sort(*YES) - it put the cume first, the rest in some order that one hopes takes into account the dependencies. Fired it off without IPL - did my own PWRDWNSYS when done - *FULL one - I like to do a full IPL after cumes. Probably a belt & suspenders kind of thing.

Anyway, GO LICPGM option 50 reported a completely clean apply - woohoo!

YMMV - but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Can I download a Cume and Group PTF's to the same image catalogue for

Well, I guess that's not really the way to word the question. Obviously
multiple PTF's (Groups or Individuals) can be downloaded to a single
image catalogue. I guess the real question is, on the "Install Options
for PTFs" panel, what option would need to be entered in the 'Prompt for
media' option to get all PTF's installed in a single pass?

I've used IC's for upgrades, Cume's, Groups, and Individuals, but never
in combination. Sorry if this is an obvious thing.
