After loading up V7 of the HMC, you won't see WEBSM coming through
the firewall, so I would imagine that the new version of the HMC doesn't
support WEBSM. Since there is no client on your PC with the new version,
you can have the old WEBSM on your PC, and for those clients you have
converted to the new HMC, you just use HTTPS:

The Original Remote Client doesn't provide 5250... I sometimes need to
walk a client through screens and it is very nice if I can access the same
screens on my HMC. The new version of HMC code supports a Browser
Interface while the original is Java based. While they both do basically
the same functions, the screens are different etc. I'm hoping I can use
either on the new version.
