The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Server changes and userid/password could be handled but what if the database table name or column name changed in the remote server (it's not under your control - database is 3rd party purchased application) that would require a change to the SELECT statement.

You don't need to recode your apps, just externalize the connection
string, if the location changes just change the connection string, no
different that changing the pointer.
