I have also been looking for an ERD tool to reverse engineer native AS/400
DDS described database files (i.e. physical and logical files that have not
been created with SQL DDL). I have tried a few, but have not had 100%
success. One problem is that the unique keys from the DDS described
physical files are not coming across as Primary Keys. Another problem is
that I have no way to relate the physical and logical files (so I can
extract the indexes, etc.). Most of the tools I've tried read the info for
the DDS described files from the QSYS2 files (i.e. catalogs) via ODBC. Are
the primary keys and info about which logical files are tied to a
particular physica file, even in the QSYS2 catalogs? How can I access that
info with a modelling tool?
