The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

The savings I see come in the amount of time it takes to do the upgrades
and/or the ptf's. On the average, it takes about 6 minutes to load a CD to
an image catalog.
Once you've got them loaded up, you can make sure everything is going to
work via the verification process.
When it comes time to actually perform the upgrade or ptf install, chances
are that job can be done remotely. Kick it off and check on it later. One no
longer needs to sit and wait for the message to load the next CD. Only if
there is a problem do you need to go to the office. I've done several of
these while sitting in my jammies. :-))

What is 6GB? Something like less then 10% on a single 70GB drive. And we
have a dozen or so drives on our smaller lpars. Less time than me burning
CD's, that's for sure.
