Is the "new MI" something the "New Math"?

Must be they've decided to change the underlying architecture again.
Would be wonderful to hear about it in detail like the old S/38
concepts book did (horizontal, vertical, etc.)

The crux of my question was this ... will ILE programs have to be
regenerated (as they did with the CISC to RISC conversion), or will only
OPM programs have to be regenerated?
