Janice:

I believe you mean Portable Data Terminals. Specifically, you are looking
for wireless devices running terminal emulation which can scan barcodes as
input.

I am currently working with tech support on a hardware/software
combination to do just that. There are a few glitches. If we can get it to
work I'll report back. The attempt is being made using:
PSC Falcon 4420 PDT (rugged, good looking, "pistol grip" form
factor)
Windows Mobile O/S (a pain in the nether regions)
StayLinked host and client software (impressive features)

I also have a similar, non-Windows Symbol demo unit that I haven't even
fired up yet. We do use Symbol PDTs which are dedicated to our automated
manufacturing line, scanning component magazine identifiers and the like
into the management software. They work like champs.

If you come up with some answers on your end, I would love to hear about
your experiences.

Pardon me for not quoting my question with more detail. We are look for
software for RF scanners that will interface directly to our
distribution software which is BPCS.

We are looking for scanners that will emulate green screen and shipping
software that has its own green screen applications.

Thanks,

Janice
