Creating the new partition will require an IPL of the primary. So then you're out of luck on the concurrency. You also cannot add hardware to pre-i5 system loops without am IPL so there's another reason to do one.

The additional partition is clearly not too advanced for a V5R2 825 but doing it without at IPL, that would be!
