I DO know where the name issues are. I have been pushing IBM - along with
MANY of us here - to refer to System i by its current brand name. Some time
back, I heard an IBMer say "I did not know it was not called an AS/400 any
more". Marketing the brand inside IBM is VERY important.

Trevor, I think you're doing the right thing. The time to advocate for a better name is long past; we have what we have. IBM ought to push it vigorously and so should we.

I do have a suggestion that you might be able to help with.

If I put www.iseries.ibm.com into my browser, I get redirected to http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/i/ Same thing for www.as400.ibm.com. I honestly wish they'd put www.systemi.ibm.com in their list of web pages that redirects. Remembering the www-03 page is a pain in the drain, although www.ibm.com/systems/i redirects properly.

Whilst on the topic of web sites, THE web site I visit most often is http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/ ...which could use a redirect too.

Then again, I might be the only person left on the planet who types in URLs...
