iSeries Navigator for Wireless will likely work with the phone you have
now. In theory you could actually upgrade your iSeries using this tool.
It takes a little work to get everything set up and working securely,
but I think that it's worth it.

If you need more access than this you should probably just get a
broadband card for your laptop.

Subject: Not From home/Office access to i5

I am looking into way(s) to access our i5 when I am not at home or the
office. We use Verizon as our corporate cell phone provider.

All we really need is a way to check running jobs, answer error
messages, do some quick queries/checks on user setup (mostly in data
files), maybe (?) make some quick code changes, etc. We can access our
i5 either thru a direct dial # into the network, RAS? (so my boss says,
I've never tried it, guess I shoudl from home) or via Citrix over the
internet. Key issues would be cost, reliability and ease of use. I am
thinking a PDA type device?
Recommendations/warnings would be appreciated.
