Very true, but it your job has a lock on an object in the library then
the library can't be deleted. For interactive jobs I can see the real
possibility of a library in the list but the user has not run an app
that needs that library yet that day and so the library could be deleted
out from under their job and cause the job to bomb. But with this value
set to not lock the library it does make it possible to slip in an
upgrade of something that needs to delete the library (or more likely
rename the current one and install the new one) without kicking all
users off the system.

Changing this system value during the execution of you job means that
someone could delete a library in your library list, killing your job.
This a very poor system value to change IMHO.

Our system value for "Library locking level" (QLIBLCKLVL) is currently
set to "1-Lock libraries in the search list". After reading about what
this controls I am thinking it should be set to "0" to not lock the
library search list. Our typical user has around 20 libraries in the
library list. Before I changed it I thought I would check to see how the
rest of the readers on the list set this value.
