I use the "Web-based System Manager Remote Client". Works just fine
from home over the VPN. I used it this morning to fire up a new LPAR
we're building.
For actual console sessions I configured PC5250 (port 2300, system name
is the HMC's IP address, Properties that and set the User ID to Q#HMC)
but have also used Mochasoft. While I've had a personal Mocha 5250
license for years (two actually - Windows and Palm) we recently bought
the enterprise license. We always used shared console sessions.
