The approach that Elvis outlined will be about the only way I can think of pulling it off. Joe Pluta, many years ago, started a project on Sourceforge called OS400Bridge. The concept was similar to what Elvis pitched but it involved using an Access DB on a PC, accessing it from an RPG program.

The code, as much as there was, is still at Sourceforge (http://os400bridge.cvs.sourceforge.net/os400bridge/ ). It might give you something to think about.

I am curious why you would use JDBC from RPG. JDBC is used to access DB2 from a Java program, wouldn't just using SQL in your RPG programs serve you better? If you have Java classes you need to call from RPG, I understand that, but then the JDBC code would probably be something you would embed in the Java classes rather than calling JDBC classes and methods from RPG.
