I agree with Booth. I find it amazing that when someone wins an award the
first thing that happens is the complaining about the fact that someone
else's favorite didn't win. Why can't we all be glad for and proud of
both of these fine gentlemen for their accomplishments and their
nomination for this award.
I met David at the iSocial Monday evening and I have no doubt that he
would have been a fine choice and deserves all the recognition he can get
for everything he does. Having said that, why do others feel the need to
tear down Trevor because they believe David should have won?
Personally, as I've read this thread, I have lost some respect for Joe and
his attitude about this. I would have thought that someone of Joe's
stature in our community would not be so negative about this.
I'm sure if you ask either David or Trevor, they are not doing what they
do for the recognition. They do it because they see a need and have
stepped up to fill that need.
Congratulations to both of them, not just for their nomination here, but
also for everything they both do every day to help all of us and to
promote our beloved System i.
